A cool and very blustery morning saw 9 entrants for round 6 of the Winter
Series. We had one newcomer in Chris Exton, well done Chris on todays efforts,
good to see you.
After the first run, Andy was leading Paul Bennington by 22 sec with Shaun Crummey and Paul Maude a couple of mintes behind. Also heading out onto the road in close succession were Chris Goddard, Paul Bellwood and Chris Exton, with Lee Tinkler and Lee Draper close to each other.
Over the subsequent 3 laps, places were being swapped so that at the start of run 2, Paul Bennington led Andy by 2 mins 6 seconds. Shaun and Paul Maude, confirmed their 3rd and foutrth positions with Chris Exton managing to overhaul Paul Bellwood and Chris Goddard and Lee Tinkler holding off Lee Draper. At the finish line, Paul Bennington had extended his lead over Andy with Shaun and Paul retaining their respective postions of 3rd and 4th. After that it was Chris Goddard who hauled himself into a very creditable 5th place with newcomer Chris managing 6th. Paul Bellwood suffering with some cramp and a fall dropped backed into 7th with the two Lee's keeping their respective positions of 8th and 9th.
Well done to all who took part, you all had a tough day and performed well no matter your final positions.
